Being lost in Europe is not so cool...

Well the castle was just amazing! Of course with our groups luck is was raining all day, like it has been all week but we did not let that stop us. We took a 2 hour train out to füssen and took a bus up to the base of the castle. From there it is usually a 40 minute hike but because it is raining we took a shuttle up half of the way. This is the first European castle I have ever seen and it was just stunning! It is hidden in the mountain tops with a huge lake and waterfall behind it. The fog was settled towards the bottom so it looked like the castle was floating, all magical like. haha. I can see why Disney modeled their`s after it.

After we took evening trains to Salzburg. This is where it has been interesting. We stepped off the train and our professor basically said well see you Monday morning and took off to his hotel and just left us there. None of us speak German or have ever been to Austria and it was dark so could not see street signs well and had a crappy map. Let me just say, being lost in a random country is not my idea of fun. Thank goodness we at least had our little group together. After walking around for a good hour or so, we finally found our hostel which turned out to be a 4 star hotel. Let me just say last night I sleeped the best I have all week. haha.

This morning we decided to try and find a church which was an adventure of it own. Thankfully we found a receptionist who spoke English and called us a taxi because it was a good 40 minutes away because all the streets are closed off for the marathon. Church was just sooo cool though! The church was in the middle of some off in the country cute town and they were so excited to see more members, pretty sure I had at least 5 missionaries come up and talk to me right after sacrament. They were quite disappointed to hear we were only there for that Sunday. After church we took a taxi back to the hotel and I swear he drove like he was straight out of Bourne Identity. In and out of traffic so freaking fast and driving up on sidewalks and spinning crazy loops and u-turns. Biggest adrenaline rush of the trip by far. hahaha. Well I am off to explore the city of Salzburg.
