Czech This Out!

It seems like everything comes to an end fast, way to fast. So much has happened this past week and a half and feel I just can't capture it all in one post but I'll try to give ya'll in a nutshell.

Over the weekend we went to Prague, Czech Republic and it was just stunning! The most beautiful city we have been to yet! (I think each weekend it just gets better and better.) We started with our usual tour to see the main sites and learn the history of the city. We then watched the world famous Astronomical clock go off and see the trumpeter. We saw Mozart's concert hall with the creepy dementor statues. (Three things Europe is good at: Churches, Crazy clocks, and crazier statues.) After the tour we visited the Jewish quarter. The Jewish cemetery was overwhelming as you saw the hundreds of graves built on top of each other because there was no where else to bury them. The synagogue has pictures hanging that were found hidden, that were drawn by children living in the Jewish Ghetto during WWII. It is fascinating to me how much you can learn about a person's life from a simple piece of artwork. We then walked Charles bridge to see the amazing view!

The next morning we decided to rent bikes and go through the different city gardens. Well I have not been on a bike since like 6th grade, literally like 9 or 10 years ago and they put me with Makenzie, miss extreme mountain biker, where we then biked through their huge hills and trails. Needless to say I was way sore for the next few days. hahaha. I could tell Makenzie was a bit annoyed at my slowness but she was patient. The scenery was just amazing, I love being outdoors! The view at the top of their "mountain" was breathtaking and worth every sore muscle. After a few hours of biking we got everyone together and headed to the beer gardens and just had a blast goofing off and making fun of the drunk people, one of which was butt naked peeing in the bushes. haha. We found a playground for kiddies that we had a grand old time playing on ourselves. It was just a wonderful day.

This week has been CRAZY crammed with last minute homework and presentations and I have camped out at my computer for a few days straight. It was worth it though and ended the courses today with A's!

Many people have asked me if there is anything I am looking forward to when I get home because all I have said is how much I wish I could stay longer. Well I finally thought of a few comforts I am looking forward too:

1. Clothes that smell fresh and clean!
2. MILK! European milk is just nasty and going a month without milk has killed me.
3. Not living out of a suitcase 4 days of the week.
4. The time to edit pictures, FINALLY!
5. Good homemade casserole, or any kind of a meal that isn't out of a cafeteria, fast food place, restaurant, kiosk, or German grocery store where I have no idea what I am buying.

5 more days till I am back in the States!
