I haven't had any complaints about Germany really. I have had a wonderful experience so far and so grateful for the rare opportunity I have to be here immersed in the culture and for my families support. It has all been new and exciting things that I have learned to just adapt too. Today however was just to much when I tried to do laundry. Can I just say I HATE the smell of Europe, the mix of smoke, beer, and the nearby river is just to much for me. I went to the other side of town to do laundry and I pray not all washers in Germany are like the one I had to deal with. First of all it was TINY! Second, it was two euro a load which is like almost four American dollars. Third, it took over two hours to do a load. Fourth, all the directions were in German so no clue how to set the thing. Fifth, my clothes still smell like Europe. I just want the fresh clean scent of Gain with a hint of Bounce. I guess just more wonderful culture adapting practice, right? lol.
Rest of today was just spent in my USU class and my German language class. We had a new professor for the language course who was wonderful! Maybe that is part of my problem, I just need a better professor, and find a way to train my vocal cords to make all the 'R' and 'ICSH' sounds. I am doing pretty well reading it, but speaking it is a whole other story. haha.
We head off to Krakow and Auschwitz in the morning, way stoked! This is the weekend excursion I have looked most forward too. There is some heavy flooding in those areas lately though so pray it clears up so we can tour the area!
