Logan has decided I am not allowed to leave it alive. Freezing rain, snow, slush, ice, ice, and more ice! The parking lot and sidewalks are a giant death trap awaiting for its victims to chance across. Worst weapon they have is the invisible ice (known to us as black ice). Deep down it laughs at the sight of me flying across and then landing flat on my back in pain.
Tonight I figured I would go to my friends house for a party, a mere 80 yards away, with one huge pitfall, the treacherous parking lot. As I was leaving I found myself crawling (yes, on all fours) down the sidewalk to the parking lot. Once there I was clutching onto the cars for dear life as I slid my feet across the ice. Once the cars were out of reach, I tried to slide the rest of the way, but of course the icy parking lot isn't going to let me off that easy. I starting losing ground and running in place, arms flying searching for hope, something to grab onto. My body then flung forward, hunched over like a grandma on crack and I inched my feet sideways the rest of the way to my door.
I won the battle tonight Old Farm parking lot, I ain't going down that easy.
